Hear Ye Hear Ye

by Janet February 7, 2018 No Comments
We are now live!  This is our actual first post that is open to the world!
We wanted to provide a quick update to everyone on where we are at with Baby Chrissy.  We have an appointment tomorrow to determine if all looks well and if we can move forward with the embryo transfer (our 3rd and final one) later this month. There’s a high possibility another week will be added to allow it to thicken….which has been the case for the past transfers!  The constant issue has been thin lining so hoping the surgery last summer and procedure in September has improved it.  In addition, we have decided that I will take some personal leave at work to put myself in better mindset as my job is really stressful.  Fertility treatments has taken an emotional toll and it feels like a full time job ensuring I am taking care of my body and mind to prepare for this event of a lifetime.  My work has been supportive so my leave date will be in mid-February and I expect to return in mid-April.  Asking for the time off was the hardest part and it’s been well received (or so I think).  It’s important to put myself and our family first at this time in our life.

Please keep us in your thoughts and we will update once we know more!

Shout out to the One More Shot documentary that really hits home; if you have Netflix it’s free!  It will tug at your heart strings and will give you an understanding of what we are going through.  Am I crazy that I want to watch it again?

Update from Dr. appointment:  Lining is at 6mm, looks good but preferred to have it at least at 8mm.  Typically 8-11mm is the range!  We have added additional meds and will go back to see the doctor next week to make the call.  If it does not look good, it will cancel the transfer and start the process over again. The process typically takes about 6 weeks.
